Day 4 was another long 11 hours on the road. We FINALLY got out of OK, into TX. We landed a spot to park at a mom and pop's RV park in Silverton, TX. We were lucky enough to see a Roadrunner, several Night Hawks, and an obnoxious Rusty Blackbird. We parked the camper, Kevin walked in first, and said "Oh no! We have a mess!!" Apparently I did not close the refrigerator door all the way at our last stop and my creamer had fallen out and busted all over the floor and carpet. ARGH! Not what I wanted or needed after 11 long hours in the truck watching Kevin fight the wind gusts and the truck and trailer "floating" in different directions.
But all is well. Mess cleaned up, camper hooked up to water and electric, AC running, and a semi cold IPA in hand. Nikki has passed out on the kitchen floor after making a total mess of her bed, blanket, and the extra rugs she has commandeered.
Tomorrow will be a better day - only 5 hours of travel to a very nice RV Camp to meet up with my brother and his family for pizza and beer!
We hope to start taking photos soon!
PS Diamond digging will make you realize you have muscles you forgot you had!
